___ | L i f e Marilena Sassi was born in Parma on 1957. She studied at the Accademy of International Art in Salisburgo and her teacher was Prof. Mario De Luigi, then to the Accademy of Art in Venice whith the teaching of Prof. Emilio Vedova. On 1982 she was graduated at the Venice University Institute of Architecture. On 1985 the art critic Roberto Tassi mentioned her in the Bolaffi's Catalogue of Modern Art. On 1986 she was invited to exhibit at the XLII International Art Exhibition of Venice Biennale Section "Aperto '86". On 1993 she attended in Bassano del Grappa at the course "Ipotesi Cinema" under the guidance of the Director Ermanno Olmi. On 1998 the Modern Art Gallery of Bologna invited her to exhibit to the exhibition of the last "40 Years of Italian Art, Iconic Art". On 1999 in order to study and explore the Aborigenal Art and its Culture she made a long journey to Australia- Once back in Italy, thanks to the assistence of Prof. Graeme la Macchia (Convenor of indigenous studies and the Faculty of Art of Brisbane University) she organized a tour of conferences namely: the Bologna Modern Art Gallery- the Faculty of Language of Venice University "Ca' Foscari"-Gallery of Modern Art "Ricci Oddi",Piacenza-Faculty of Litterature and Philosophy of the University of Parma. In the same year Prof. Franco Rella invited her to be member of the staff for a seminar "Body and Nature", thread of the thought" which was organized by the Department of culture of Lecco Municipality. |
